Narrative

    • At least one period of rig and furrow ploughing has been found made visible by linear rows of disturbed stone bank material, presumably from the kerb of the ring carin F607, placed approximately every 0.50m, each being approximately 0.50m wide.

Dating Narrative

    • Within and around the stone rigs were found clay tobacco pipe fragments and pot fragments dragged from the disturbed cremation burial in Trench 6 F601 suggesting that ploughing occurred in the post medieval period. The last recorded ploughing at the site occurred in 1996.
