Into talk and David Petts on Coldingham and the archaeology of monasteries in early medieval Northumbria: Join us to hear an introductory talk from the DigVentures team, explaining what we’re doing at Coldingham Priory and why. Following the introductory talk from the team will be Dr David Petts. This is a fantastic opportunity to hear from a leading expert in the medieval archaeology and Anglo-Saxon Northumbria.

Peter Ryder on the Churches and Sepulchures of the Medieval Borders: Historic Buildings Consultant and archaeologist Peter Ryder will join us for a lunch-time talk on the Churches and Sepulchures of the Medieval Borders. Peter was responsible for the analysis on the cross slabs at Coldingham Priory in 2015.

Hilary Powell on The Cult of Saint Æbbe in the High Middle Ages: her Life, Legend and the Local Landscape: Dr Hilary Powell will join us from Durham University to talk about Saint Æbbe herself, looking at her life and the legends surrounding her.

Site Tours: Join us at 11am, 1pm or 3pm for a guided site tour by a member of the DigVentures team and see what we are up to in the final days of the dig.

It’s a wrap! The DigVentures team will give you the low down on what we found with finds and pictures.
