Medieval jetton ⛵️
Detectorists Paul and Rob have joined our team on site today to check over the spoil heap and guess what? They’ve found a medieval jetton! On one side it has a ship, and on the other it has a crest.
We reckon it’s from around 1500-1550, but the most interesting thing about it is that it has been pierced. Perhaps someone wore it as a pendant or a good luck charm?
