It’s time to head to Yorkshire!

Tomorrow the DigVentures team will be arriving in Yorkshire to begin work at Victoria Cave. This is just the preparatory stage – the stuff we’ve got to do before we can invite all you archaeology lovers to join us on the next stage of the project. First we’ve got to size up the archives, then we’ve got to really get to grips with the archaeology, meet the fantastic group of people who have spent their lives exploring Yorkshire’s caves and finally… take a trip into the chambers of Victoria Cave itself!

We are ready to roll!

Woohoo! Under the Uplands is go! We’ve just received a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to explore the archaeology deep inside Yorkshire’s caves! We’ll be opening up the Victoria Cave archive, building a Virtual Museum and… excavating a never-before-excavated cave which could hold more clues to what was happening here in the Ice Age! Stay tuned for opportunities to join us in the archives and on the excavation team!
